I haven't posted in awhile. I've been so busy. Turkey day went really good. Christmas was fun too. We went home for X-mas. Dallas. My husband came in from Afganistan and we picked him up at the airport. That was the best x-mas present ever. We went to mom's and dad's for x-mas then headed home on X-mas day to open Santa's presents. We had a blast and the kids haven't stopped playing ever since.
Well, it is 2007 and my friend Heather is still having issues with her surgery. I am praying that she and her family get through this quickly. I'm so worried about her but I know that Jesus is with her and her family at this time. Well...maybe I'll get a chance to post X-mas and New Years pics soon.

Another Update.
Well, My mom came down this weekend with Bobby for Thanksgiving dinner. We had so much fun. The kids had a blast and were so happy to see their Na Na and Daddy Bob. Saturday we celebrated Garrett's 5th Birthday. He won't be turning 5 until Dec. 2nd, but mom won't be here and I'm not planning on going home for Thanksgiving. I was actually going to drive up on Tuesday and spend Turkey day with my Dad...but Kids are really sick right now. Garrett had a fever all day on Saturday and Morgan can't get rid of her cough. Early last week she was running 103 fever and now has a cough. Both my kiddos have asthma and bad allergies which triggers their asthma episodes. Garrett take breathing treatments and Morgan has her puffer. Both are on Singular daily at night. I really feel for them. San Antonio is not a good place for people with allergies. I just hope they get through this allergy season pretty quick. We are low on tissues again! ugg.. :)
Garrett is playing basketball for a team here in Schertz. He had his first practice last friday. He is so cute. He has never ever played with other boys..only mom and Dad and Pop Pop and Na Na...he had some issues with dribbling the ball. He would take it and run. I wish I had a video cam. I think the coach was getting annoyed but I don't really care. He was having so much fun. Na Na got him a Basketball goal and a basketball to practice with. Morgan well...she did okay at the practice for about the first 30 mins. Then she was ready to leave and let the whole gym know about it. Why oh Why did God bless me with such a independent child. I love her...but she really tests my patience on a daily basis. I have read all kinds of books to keep my sanity. Other than the daily tantrums and the bossiness and the yelling at her brother...she is very very bright. She recogonizes her colors, and letters and numbers up to 10. She hasn't even turned 3 yet. I am so proud of her. She is slowly learning to play Candy Land. She still forgets that you have to go to the next color...not all over the board...but hey...at least she's getting on the right color right? It frustrates Garrett so much when she doesn't play by the rules. It is so funny. Garrett is so by the book. He tries so hard to be perfect. I have to tell him that it is okay to let things slide from time to time. I worry about him. But, I know what it is like to be the oldest. He plays well with Morgan when he wants to play with her. The older he gets the better he gets. He still is so impulsive and emotional. I hope that is because of his age still. But, sometimes he gets so upset when things don't go the way he expects them to.
Well, Dad is still in Bagram. He is suppose to be there until April. And maybe even longer...maybe even until July or back to Quwait..who knows. We miss him. Also, we just had our house painted. It looks awesome. I'm so impressed with my color choice and the outside color choice I made. Next, we are going to landscape our front yard. Last year we did the back yard. I am really enjoying living here in Schertz. I wasn't crazy about the SA school district but Schertz seems to be okay. I'm also looking at maybe putting Garrett in a private school. We have a Catholic private school right next to our house that I've looked into.
He was in a Christian private school for Pre-school for 2 years and really exceled. When I switched jobs, I had to put him in a regular day care that has not Christian teaching and I am very disappointed in my decesion. I'm looking for another Christian school close by to move him to. He had no behavior problems at that other school and I think it was because they incorporated the teachings of God into the curriculm. I guess this is why I'm worried about public school. Well...
I would love to get anyone's suggestion on this...I don't think anyone even reads this any more. Well, have a Great Turkey day!!!

Update

Well, I know it's been a long time since I posted. My life is crazy and well I just don't have time to sit on here and post every day or every other day. I'm also have a MYspace that I keep more current pictures on. But, again, I don't update the blog portion on there. We have been so busy. Kirtus is gone again and well...we are busy doing home type stuff. I'm painting the house...or having the house painted and then more Landscaping and then gutters are going to be put up. I took a bunch of clothes to the consignment store about a month ago and sold the baby bed. I feel so much better. I'm about to donate a ton of my old clothes to the Goodwill in our neighborhood. We did the toys thing already. Making room for X-mas. I'm going to purchase some new furniture very very soon. I'm thinking I need to put up my X-mas tree before Thanksgiving. I know I know...it's too early...but I want to have it up for two months instead of 1. We went to NASA before Kirtus left. Here are some recent pics of the kids. No one really reads this anyway...but incase you do. Here you go.
I probably won't be posting for a long time again...so Have a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful Christmas and New years.

Zoo Pictures

The Zoo was fun. This was Morgan's first time to run around the Zoo without being in a Stoller. We all got really tired and hot. And Garrett ended up getting sick that afternoon when we got home. We love the San Antonio Zoo.

Easter 2006

Here are some pictures of Easter at home.
That is Garrett and Verona. They are cousins and are about 4 months apart. Garrett was born in December 2001 and Verona was born in April 2002. As you can tell they are both Hams for the camera.
We had a lot of fun at Mom and Dad's for Easter. We went to Popma mountain on Saturday and hunted Easter egss and had a cook out and a Hat Fashion show.
Then on Sunday we hunted Easter eggs at cousin Sherry's and had lots of fun there too. Both of them got surprise eggs at Mary Jo's and Mom's. It was good to go home and see the family. We really miss home.

Morgie Porgie

These are some recent pictures of Morgan after getting her hair cut. Daddy was still home during this time. The ladder was there because he was putting up a new ceiling fan in our home. She is so happy. I have a picture of her before the hair cut and then after. I love her hair short. I can see those pretty eyes. Since she won't let me put her hair up and do cute things with it I got her a cute cut.

Easter has come and gone
We went home to Dallas for Easter weekend.
I'm so glad to be back home in Schertz.
I miss Dallas but my children have behavior issues when we
travel and when we stay at na na's house.
We left on Friday and got in about 1:00 - 1:30. The kids were so excited.
Saturday morning Dad picked us up and off we went to Popma mountain for their first egg hunt. I'll post pictures of this egg hunt later. It was so great seeing my Aunts and Cousins and their kids too.
We all had a lot of fun. The weather was perfect. It was warm with a nice breeze. Not too hot not too cold. Morgan and Garrett were in a Hat contest that their Aunt put on for the family. It was a load fun for everyone. Garrett found a prize egg and won a really cool prize. Morgan won a prize for the least amount of eggs found. She won a really cool Easter bunny and easter basket with little girly things. I was so proud of my kids that day.
The next day we went to my mother's cousin's Easter egg hunt. This is my mother's family's egg hunt. This day was the hottest Easter ever in history. I think it was like 91 or 95 degrees outside. What made it worse is that there was no wind.
But, the kids had a lot of fun. We first went to my mother's house to celebrate my Pa Pa's 80th birthday and then went to the hunt. Once again my son found a prize egg. He was so excited. Morgan didn't find a prize egg but did find tons of eggs. With lots of melted chocolate. I couldn't wait to get home and toss every piece of chocolate away in the trash. It was so gross...all that melted chocolate. We had lots of fun. The kids had loads of fun.
Yesterday Garrett played baseball with Na Na and momma. He is the next super star in baseball. Come to think about it Garrett is going to be the one person that plays professional football, basketball, baseball and golf and maybe tennis.
Oh and gymnastics. He loves gymnastics too.
Morgan, well she cheered her brother on. Garrett says that when he gets big he is going to live in his Hook'Em Horns and Batman house with Pop Pop and play golf all day. I believe it too.
We recently bought a new van. We call it our Hook'em horns van. yes People it is burnt orange. No joke
Burnt Orange. Hook Em' Horns!!!
I love it.
Well I'll post some pictures later.
I'm glad to be home. I miss Dallas but it always feels so great to come home.

Redecorating
We have started our redocorating in our new house.
Kirtus is home for a little bit. Just a week. And while he is home, we have been putting in new fixtures for our home. We just installed a ceiling fan in our Dining room that is gong to be our living area instead. We don't really need a formal dining room at this time.
So, we found the perfect couch for this room. Of course it cost like 5 grand. yes that is what I said. This is because it is built to your specifications and comes from North Carolina.
It is really awesome. I found a mantle I want. And well...it is about 3 grand. I know I have expensive tastes. But, I'm going to save and get it anyways. My curtains are only 100.00 dollars. That is much more in my price range. I found a Texas Flag in a wood frame it was 159.00 but was a real Texas Flag. Yes, my new theme for this room is Texas. I love Texas. I love being a Texan and I want a room to show it.
We are installing the Bellawood downstairs this fall. We have picked out our wood already, and we are redoing both bathrooms upstairs. They both need to be updated.
We we are done this house is going to rock. I won't ever want to move back to Dallas.
Morgan is back in her old room at her school. And the attitude is much better.
Well, a little bit.
She is a very stubborn little girl.
Well, I'll be posting again. I have a new card for my camera. So, new pictures will be up soon.
I'll be posting again soon.

Rough Times ahead
I've been having some Rough times with Morgan this week. She hasn't been doing very well in her new class at school. I'm not sure what to do with her. Just recently her temper tantrums have become almost uncontrolable. (Did I spell that right?)
Anyway, I am so worried about her. She is not the happy child from last week.
She not even happy at home with Momma and her big brother. Last night I tried to do a fun night for us. We had a picnic in the living room and after that went upstairs to our playroom and read books and played with all of our toys together.
She seemed so not wanting to participate in the activites. I'm just a little worried about her.
Well, her next Dr. Visit is due so I'm going to talk to her about this and see if she has any advice.
My day at work was horrible yesterday. We had a corporate audit done on our office and I don't think we did so well. I've been so sick about the whole thing. I'm just so glad it's over. I hope we can move on and learn from this and fix all of our issues. A lot has happened in this office over the past year. I"m really looking forward to some calm normalcy. I pray it comes soon.
Well, Pray that Morgan comes out of this little tat and gets back to being a wonderful happy little girl.
We miss you daddy!!!

My children

Well, Here are the most recent pictures I have of Garrett and Morgan.
Did anyone notice that there is another Garrett Lane in the world? Yep, the singing Cowboy on American Idol. His name was Garet Layne. Spelled a little different but the same name. Just so you guys understand...My Garrett sings much better than that dude. WOW!! What were they thinking?
Look at those EYES! Have you ever seen a child as beautiful as this one?
My father thinks he takes after him? Hmmm I was have to disagree with him on that one. Yes, daddy you are very handsome..but I have to say my son is much more handsome...I would have to say he takes after me. :)
Ha!! Sorry but he does. Morgan looks so much like me and from what people have told me acts like me. But, I don't agree with that either. I think she acts like her Daddy. Yep. Stubborn and man does she have a temper. And she just thinks she is all that and a bag of chips. Well, maybe she takes after me a little bit...but her Daddy more. Oh my Gosh...that is scary.
Today was a tough day for me and the kids. But, we made it through just fine. I want to go back home to Dallas. I miss Dallas so much. It's days like today that make me want to run back home to Momma. I hate being down here all by myself with no family. It really sucks. People are always saying "I don't know how the hell you do it." And I have to agree with them too. How in the hell do I do it? 90% of the time I want to pack my bags and run home crying to Momma. But, I have two wonderful children that need me.
I can't believe that our Vice President shot someone!! Not only does the old fart need a new heart, but he needs new eyes too. How can you mistake a Quail from a 6 foot tall man? Bird? Man? Let's see. Birds' have feathers. Okay Man has...skin.
Okay...Birds' have beaks. Man has a mouth with lips. ??? Nope...okay
Birds' have wings. Man has arms..Okay maybe if he was flapping his arms like a bird..Yep...that must have been it. He must have been flapping his wings like a Quail and making bird like sounds. Yep...if it squaks and flapps like a bird...then it must be a bird. BANG!!! "HEY!!! That wasn't a quail?" Dude where did you come from? Hey your shot! Hey is that blood? DUDE!!! Crap we are on private land.
Dude can you walk?
Ha HA HA HA....Sorry...I just find this all rather humerous.
Okay...that's all for tonight. I have to get a new card for my digital camera. So, I won't have any more pics for awhile.

Morgan Lee's 2nd Birtday Party

Look here I am at my 2nd Birthday Party. I had a party just like my big brother Garrett. My friend Jenny came too. I was so excited.
I got the Cabbage Patch doll just like I wanted. Nana got me an Elmo. I slept with both last night. Momma and Daddy got me a new blanket for my new bed. I'm a big girl now, ya know...I got rid of that old baby bed. I had the best party ever.

I'm Turning 2 On Friday!!

Can you believe it I'm turning two on Friday. Gosh I'm growing up so fast. Look how much I've grown. Mommy is putting my first B-day pictures on here and some others of me. Mom is giving me a party on Saturday. I hope I get a Cabbage Patch Doll. I love my momma's but she doesn't like me to play with it much. She says I may break it or something. Whatever!!!
You wouldn't know by looking at these pictures that I'm spoiled rotten.
No seriously. Mom pretty much gives me what ever I want. Ha Ha!!
I've got her right where I want her. Daddy! Please...he thinks his all that and
a bag of chips!! Ha Ha I've got him wrapped around my little finger.
Did I tell you that I have a awesome Big Brother and 2 Big sisters.
Mom tells me stories all the time about my sisters and tea parties. My Nanna drew me a picture of me and my two sisters have a tea party. Well, I like to pretend they are my big sisters.
I like to pretend a lot. Well, I'm off to bed. I'm tired.
Oh yeah...I forgot to mention...I'm almost potty trained now. Yep!! I go potty all the time. Some times I forget and have an accident but most of the time I go all by myself. And not on some baby potty!! No Way! I go on the big potty. Just like my big brother Garrett and Mommy and Daddy and Kaira and Elysa.
Ok
That's all I have to say. Bye!!

Family
We have a great family. I'm so lucky to have a wonderful husband
and four lovely children. Yes...that's right I said four.
When I married Kirtus, I got an instant family with his two
wonderful daughters from his previous marriage.
They came to visit us this X-mas and I was so excited. We had a huge
X-mas. I've always wanted a big family. When the girls are down I have three girls and a boy running around. Well, actually I guess that would be three girls and 2 boys if you include my sugar pie. I made dinner on X-mas eve for all of us and I was so excited that they actually liked it. (I'm always worrying about things like that)
We didn't do much during that time they were here. But I was able to have a girls outing where we did some shopping and we went to Chili's afterwards.
Kaira is 15..almost 16...WOW and Elysa is 10 almost 11...
At Chili's Elysa spit her ice on someone, I'm not sure if it was on purpose or an accident. She was pretty hyper that night!! :)
We had a lot of fun. They are very sweet girls. I wish we were closer so that
Garrett and Morgan could grow up with their two sisters. And so that we could have more girl outings together.
Dad travels a lot and we sure do miss him when he is gone.
This year he is going to UAE, Afghanistan, Greece or London and Japan.
WOW! I'm going to take two weeks and join him in either Japan, Greece or London. I can't wait to see another country, island and/or Continent. :)
My brother is having surgery tomorrow. I'm worried about him. I had a long talk with him and I hope I helped. I'll be praying tonight that everything goes well.
Garrett had another good day at school today. He told me this morning that if he was good and had no time outs that he could go to Chuckie Cheese!! Hmmm...?? Wonder who told him that? Mom or Dad?
Did I mention how much I hate Chuckie Cheese? Yeah...what we will do as parents to see that smile on his face or too keep him out of time out at school. Boys!!!
Morgan had a good day!!! She almost went potty at school. Daddy came by to pick her up with Garrett in tow and she was sitting on the potty trying to go #2!!!
When she saw her Daddy and Garrett...well that was that. No more potty.
Well, she is really trying. She is so cute. She will pull her pants down in the living room and say potty or poop. She gets a little confused. She goes pee pee and she thinks it's called poop.
It's so cute. She doesn't say poo poo it's poop. She'll look up at me with those big blue eyes and say "Mom I pooped" I'll say you poo poo'd and she says No momma I pooped. So cute.
Sorry for the bath room humor. Momma will be so excited if my Morgie Porgie is potty trained before she turns two. Which is only one month away.
She shares a birthday with my brother Wade. Feb. 10th. Uncle Wade.
Just plain Wade.
Wader...
Sorry Wade. You need to move down here. Well at least to Austin. San Antonio doesn't have much to offer. Well, I shouldn't say that. I should say you probably wouldn't like it.
It's a big town with a small town attitude. Austin is only 1 hour away that is like driving from Dallas to Ft. Worth.
We are looking for a Church to join here in Schertz. I haven't really found anything yet that I feel 100% comfortable with. My son's school is a Presbyterian Christian school. I'll let you know how this Sunday goes with that.
New Years Resolutions
#1. Find a Church to worship at.
#2. Learn more about God and his Word
#3. Loose Weight (maybe with God's help I can do this. Nothing else seems to have helped yet maybe I should turn to him for help with this.)
#4. Start walking (We are buying a tredmill)
4 goals is pretty good for the new year.
Maybe this year I can actually accomplish these goals.
Well, that is it for now. I'm tired. I don't have any other pictures to put up.

The New Year

Okay, Here are some new pictures from Halloween, Garrett's 4th Birthday party, Christmas and the new year.
We are so excited about our new house and our new backyard.
We just recently did a lot of work on our back yard.
The kids are growing up and don't seem to be slowing down.
Garrett and Morgan got a lot of presents from Santa and their Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles. They are so spoiled. But, they love it.

Garrett and Morgan

Aren't they cute. Both are very big hams for the camera. Garrett wants to toss something at me and see if I can catch it in the air on the camera. Mom did a pretty good job huh? Where does he get these ideas.
Morgan is just sweat as pie. No Really she is. :)
We are having so much fun. She is just now starting to talk. She still babbles a lot and screams a lot. Mostly at her brother. Garrett is learning to take turns.
He is having a hard go of it. But, Morgan doesn't give up.
Garrett is learning his states. We have been working on them at home. He knows the West Coast and some of the Central states pretty good. We haven't ventured the East Coast states yet. He knows we live in Texas!!! Of course that was the first state he learned and his favorite color is Burnt Orange. Not kidding!!!
Morgan is learning colors. Morgan loves to color..on everything. Thank Goodness for washable crayons. She loves her dolls and all her friends at school. Believe it or not her mom is her best friend...right now. (I hope this lasts forever.)
We miss Dad. Hi Dad. I'll be putting some post up of Garrett and Morgan's sisters. I have a couple of pictures. Hopefully, we will get a post from them pretty soon.
Well, the kids are hungry.

My two precious little ones. Looking at this picture you would think Garrett and Morgan were best friends. Well, not really. Well, sometimes. I love it when they are like this. It so much fun.
As you can tell Garrett and Morgan love to ham it up for the camera.
Garrett is three and Morgan is 1. Garrett will be 4 in Dec. and Morgan will be 2 in Feb. Morgan was born Feb. 10th. She shares a Birthday with her Uncle Wade. (Hi Uncle Wade!!!) We miss you! Garrett was born on December 2nd. He is now the 4th person in our family to have a December Birthday. You can say that December is pretty crazy in our family. This will be the first year I don't make it home for X-mas. Well, I take that back. I didn't come home for X-mas when I was pregnant with Morgan. So, this is my 2nd X-mas away from home. But, my first in our new home.
I've been keeping myself busy by doing housework and taking care of my two little ones and my two dogs. Yes I have two Boxers. No, I'm not crazy. Well, at least I don't think I am. I wonder sometimes.
Well, I'll try and post some more pictures and post some other things later.
Enjoy.
